Default Maybe Found Pontential S2k

Hi my names eddie, I just joined s2ki few days ago, real big fan of s2000s and plan on getting one for my next car, thing is im 18, work at wendys, and have no credit, so im trying to find one for kind of cheap I could work on little by little and still be able to drive it. So I came upon this...http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/1236399922.html...it has kind of high miles, and idk how much it would be to repair the tail lights and bumper, I emailed him for pics, so im waiting for his reply. You guys think this would be a good idea buying this car or bad news!?...Any Help Is Greatly apreciated Thanks

quick question for you body, how are you going to deal with high insurance?

used AP1 tail lights go for $150 or ap2 for $300
bumper for like $250 - 350 + shipping.

S2000 @ 18 eh?

I got mine at 19... My insurance was 380 a month.

Think twice before you pull the trigger.

Insurance will eat your ass alive.

Then there are taxes, tires, maintenance... best go get a second job if you are serious and be prepared to live with your parents for a while.

BTW, this belongs in the Introductions Forum... not the Gallery.

ap1 tails can be found for $80 and a rear bumper for around $100.

Maybe ur parents will be nice enough and insure the car under their name for a better rate, given they have a clean driving record.

I was 17 when I got my s2k and only paid $85 a month full coverage under my parents name of course.

even if insurance isn't required by law, you shouldn't drive without it anyways. If you can't afford the insurance, buy a cheaper car until you can.

Insurance might be cheaper in NH, who knows. Best of luck on getting an S2K. Great car, but i'd get a cheaper first car. First cars always get smashed, it's a golden rule
