Default My 2002

After what seems like 12 years of drooling (I joined this forum years ago in the hopes of getting an S2K), I finally got an S2000.

Suzuka Blue, 68K miles, with OEM hardtop and lots of thoughtful mods:
  • AP2 Headlights
  • AP2 Wheels
  • Alpine Headunit with Modifry DCI
  • Comptech exhaust
  • tubular headers
  • K&N FIPK
  • Cusco underfloor braces
  • T1R shock brace
  • Greddy EMU with a mild tune

All original bodywork and paint and it drives like a dream. Tires are a bit old so going with RE-11A's from Tire Rack.

Quick question- on decel in gear I notice a noise that sounds a bit like rattling or a suction noise. It does not happen in neutral while coasting nor on acceleration. Is this clutch buzz? Or could it be sound from the cone filter?

Thanks! Looking forward to being part of yet another car community.

Nick

Congrats on a sharp car!

Does the noise happen in every gear? Clutch buzz is most prevalent in 1st and 2nd (at least in mine).

I have the same intake, and have no sound like that coming from it.

To me, I can tell what area of the car the clutch buzz is coming from (I instantly knew what it was the first time I test drove it). Can you pinpoint the location?
