My Suzuka Blue
After months of searching, I finally found the S2000 for me; on here actually. I bought it from a member here. A 2002 AP1, 103xxx miles on it, with AP2 front and rear bumpers, as well as headlights and taillight. He drove down from Kansas with the car, and I flew in from North Carolina. Currently, I'm driving it back across the South more or less.
Onto the few pics I have of it already.

Plans are to keep it mostly stock, with the addition of perhaps an exhaust and an intake. A hardtop maybe down the line.

Bought it with a small oil leak that the previous owner "didn't know about". Traced it on the spot to a leaking valvecover gasket, that was installed with no RTV/HondaBond. However, the grommets were leaking as well because of lack of metal covers over them. Bought a new gasket kit from Honda and rectified that issue, after leaving a bit of oil across my travels.
While fixing the valvecover, I encountered (3) faulty injector O-rings, which I replaced brand new from Honda. Fine, they're older. It happens. Wasn't disclosed, but it happens.
Had an odd check engine light, code P0411, which I traced to a faulty vacuum hose on the air pump. Negatable, oh well. I don't think the previous owner knew about that.
As of yesterday, the clutch started getting a lower and lower engagement point. Today, it wouldn't engage off of the floor at all. I limped it to the dealership, where I found out that the master/slave cylinder were gone/old/never changed. Sure, the car's old but the timing is a bit odd that these things would pop up recently after I purchased it. I'm told the previous owner didn't know about this, but it's too close to really go with that.
I honestly regret selling the car to you now. You are full of it, half of the things your complaining about never even existed until you took the car and did god knows what with it. You knew about the valve cover oil leak, and I even took $100 off the price even though I gave you a good deal and the leak could be fixed for less than $50, that was done with before any money was handed over. We also inspected the engine very throughly when we met up, and none of us detected any fuel leaking (sight or smell) so how would I tell you about that if none of us even knew? I daily drove the car until about a month before I sold it to you and never had any issues. The vacuum line thing was just because I recently took the intake off and must have switched the 2 vacuum lines around when putting the airbox, I would have swapped them if I would have gotten the CEL for it, but I didn't. Then as for the master cylinder, i've always kept the fluid full and checked it often and didn't see any leaks. I also drove it down to you, and you test drove the car before purchasing. I just take offense that you keep bitching at me saying "I knew about these problems and it's bad business that I didn't tell you about it" when I never even encountered these problems your talking about for the 3 years i've owned the car. Then you say the "the master cylinder has never been replaced".. well why would I replace parts that aren't broken and I never had a problem with? That's just stupid. Are you going to wait another couple weeks after beating the hell out of and putting thousands of miles on it and tell me the clutch went out and it's my fault too?
I've been texting you ever since I sold you the car and have been as nice as possible, and have been 100% honest with you. If you don't want to believe me then I honestly don't care anymore. I'm just tired of it already.

- valve cover gasket, easy fix, and you say you told him about it, even if you didn't, that's something not too hard to notice during inspection. Kind of off-topic, but I've replaced valve cover gaskets plenty of times and have never used Honda-bond. I didn't even know it was expected to do that. The bigger problem sounds like the grommets missing, which are cheap. When you have them, it pushes the valve cover down against the seal and it seals up without Honda-bond.
- Faulty o-rings? If they were faulty you would have sprayed fuel all over and probably started a fire already. I've had a damaged o-ring before and it was very obvious, very quickly, that fuel was leaking. I doubt they were faulty when you purchased it, and if they were then you failed at inspecting the vehicle. Fuel is easy to smell.
- Clutch problem? If it drove fine up until yesterday, I highly doubt the previous owner knew about it. You can't really "sense" that it's going bad. It either does the job or it doesn't.
Sorry, but it sounds like regular maintenance stuff to me that the previous owner couldn't have known about beforehand, with the exception of the leak, which he claims was mentioned. From the pictures it looks like it was taken care of. Sucks this all happened in quick succession, but I highly doubt it was known or intentional...none of those problems are exactly difficult or expensive.
