Hello all. I'm new to the board so this is my first post. Anyway, I went to look at a S2K today and need help on a decision to buy it or not. The convertible top has to be replaced due to a vandal. There is a dent on the front fender about the size of a golfball, and has started to rust. That will have to be repaired and painted. One headlight has started to fog. Leather is cracked but not ripped. Carpet has some wear on it. That's the bad.

The car is a 2000 Berlina black, red/black interior with 76K on it. Runs and drives very smooth. Has 6 disc cd changer, side strakes, and whatever the thing is that covers the top when its down (behind the headrests).

The guy wanted 18K and he went down to $13,500. I don't think I'm going to get it because of the repairs I'm going to have to do. Just wanted some other opinions. BTW, this is located in Las Vegas.

Are you in a hurry? If not ... try looking for another one.

Price is good, but fixing the top would add another 1.6K to the bill off the bat -- which brings you to about the same as the market price. The 18K price is simply ridiculous ...

 

Agreed 18k is ridiculous. That's why he came down so easily off of his price. I don't know anyone who would sell a car for 5.5k less than he intended. Check some other ones out, but its not a bad deal.

 

I can get the 02+ top with glass top for $800 shipped, and install it myself. The main thing I'm worried about it mileage and interior. Not really in a huge hurry, but I want one so bad! LOL..
