Hey everyone, I've been lurking on here for a few months now and figured it's time to make an account (also because I want one of Billman's TCT's lol). The S2000 has always been a dream car of mine, and I dreamed of owning one during my miata days. With heavy influence from the Japanese time attack and circuit scene, my intent for my 2002 AP1 is to make it my long term track project. Upon graduating college and getting my first full time position, I found myself in a situation where purchasing the car I've lusted after for so long became possible. Bought roughly 2 months ago, the car came on Ohlins DFV's, had a J's racing front lip and K&N intake, and that was about it. In the 3 months I've owned it I've put on a Forbidden Mugen top, thrown in a leftover bucket seat from my miata, installed an HKS Hi Power, and 5zigen GN+ wheels. Last week I was able to see what the car is capable of at Thunderhill West, a tighter track that rewards more for cornering speed and less for outright power. I must say, I'm absolutely in love with the car. Incredibly agile and raw, I'm addicted to the snappiness of the AP1 and its tail happy handling characteristics. It really is the most fun I've ever had driving a car.
My old miata to get an idea of what the S2000 will eventually end up like...

Thanks, they used to be all white, but then I roasted the paint and baked in brakedust at the track. Short of sanding down and repainting, it's permanently brake dusted now lol

In the world of electric guitars they'd say those wheels received the relic treatment, lol — pricey. Welcome.
