Default New from Arizona!

I've been wanting an S for the last 5-6 years and never expected to have one at 21 but I just got my 2000 Berlina Black S2000!

I've been in the 240sx game for the last couple of years; going through quite a few like most. It was hard for me to be satisfied with every 240 I had as I was always striving to invest money into it somewhere. I soon got sick of it and decided to step away from the 240 game and get into something more mature. I came across this 2000 s2000 and just for kicks got in contact with him to maybe see if it was as good as it looked. about a week later I was driving home in my new car.

I've had it for about a week and a half and I absolutely love it! The best part about it for me is the lack of feeling like it needs to be improved in one way or another. So for now, my itch to throw mods at it has subsided substantially (aside from more aesthetic things such as a hardtop, wheels, etc.).

here's a few pictures that I've filtered a bit with instagram:

I also have a question for anyone willing to help about some tears in my top...
I've searched through threads about what people have done and there are quite a few different ways people have gone about repairing tears.
The problem is that I think the majority of repairs are made to tears a bit smaller maybe and I was hoping someone could suggest the right way to go about repairing the tears in my top (if they are even repairable).

above passenger window. driverside is fine but it is starting to wear a noticible bit.

passenger side, behind window at the usual wear spot. driverside is just as bad.

The previous owner used some tape so there is quite a bit of sticky residue.

Any suggestions? I haven't done any type of upholstery repairs so I'm almost thinking of avoiding some headaches and having it done properly the first time.

Thanks for looking and I'm looking forward to being apart of the s2ki community!

If you have a plastic rear window, I'd consider saving up for a replacement top.

You can probably remove the resiude with Goo Gone, then you can clean the area on both sides and then patch it.

dwight: Yea that's what I'm strongly considering later on down the line. A hardtop would be nice but I won't have that kind of money for quite some time lol but thanks for the info/help!

1nate7: Oh awesome, yea I'll definitely check it out!
