Update on the car,
I've been loving every minute of driving the car, I drive it on the weekends while I use my civic for my commute. I was able to bring the car to the shop and they we're able to fix the VSA light, apparently it came on because at one point the battery died and the technician said that sometimes it'll just throw codes. It's been about 2 months since then and it's been perfectly fine. I do have my airbag light on and I've figured out that its the weight sensor on the driver side seat, which will be fixed in the near future.
I bought the Tomei Expreme Ti catback a while back and have been using that for awhile. It is very loud on WOT but very tamable when driving within the city, it has a good amount of drone but nothing unbearable. I do plan on getting a custom exhaust fabbed up here by the end of the year which I will be exited to show once it's finished. I have some custom tail lights that are also being currently made as I'm typing up this post which I am also very excited to show off.
For the soft top not fully closing, it does seem like it is the straps, I've been able to put it flush by pushing that crossbar as the top folds down, but I plan on fixing the straps soon. I do plan on getting a hardtop for the car either end of this year/beginning of next year, the Seibon CF hardtop caught my eye, but I do have a question, what hardtop hardware is required when installing on a car that's never had a hardtop before?
I also plan on getting a test pipe and headers after getting the custom exhaust finished up. After having the full exhaust system finished, I'll get the Hondata Flashpro and get a dyno tune and see where that leaves me at.
I have alot of plans for this car and I'm excited what the future has in store, I'll keep yall updated on the journey! Feel free to shoot any tips or questions you got for me

There are no documented measurable power increases with an aftermarket exhaust header.
Replacing the catalytic converter with a "test pipe" (wink, nudge) is illegal, irresponsible, the exhaust stinks, and you won't notice any power increase. You and anyone behind or near you will smell it though. A high flow cat, like the Berk will allow FlashPro to drop VTEC to the 3600rpm range for significant mid range power and still pass smog tests if required. (Not sure where your car is located.)
