Hey guys, I'm new to the forums. I recently picked up a 2002 s2000 and joined a facebook group for s2000 enthusiasts that frequently links helpful articles and threads to this website so I figured I'd finally join.
I've been participating on automotive forums for over 15 years so forum etiquette is nothing new for me lol.
I started my automotive journey back in 2003 with a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS. I added basic bolt ons and drove that around for probably a year before picking up a 98 Eclipse GS-T. The GS-T was full bolt on making about 300whp and was the only car of its type in my area. I soon decided that I'd had enough of the FWD/wheelhop/torque steer life so I traded it in towards an 03 Evo back in 2006. I still have the Evo today but decided it was time to pick up another summer toy. I basically browsed facebook marketplace too much and noticed the lack of s2000's for sale in the state and within a few hundred miles. I'm not sure if that's what drew me to them or not but that's what I ended up getting. I had to travel 7 hours away to another state to buy it and I'm glad I did. Without rambling on anymore, on to the pics.
Got the car with AP2 wheels.
First thing I did was put new wheels and tires on since the AP2 wheels had rash and mismatching tires.
The front bumper was pretty beat up and not really worth fixing so I bought a new bumper from the dealer as well as some Red Honda badges and license plate plugs from HardtopGuy.
After that I picked up a Rockstar Garage front lip and some side skirt extensions and sent those parts to paint.
This is currently how the car sits.
It's back at the body shop to get the trunk painted since I took the stock spoiler off to install a duck bill only to find out the part of the trunk that the stock spoiler covers is pretty scratched and beat up.
Overall, this car is an absolute blast to drive! Driving the back roads with the top down is good for the soul. I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do to the car in the future other than drive it.
Mods - Invidia exhaust, AEM V2 intake. TCT/valve adjustments done at 85k. Car sits at 102k.
I know someone will ask so here's some pics of my Evo.
