Default New to the forums, lookinf for an s2000 Help!

Hey guys, new to the forums, Am looking for a s2000 as my weekend car, I drive 120 miles a day to and from work so I dont wanna use an s2000 for that boring straight line drive everyday, anyways...

I am looking for a s2000 from 2005 to 2008.

Is there anything I should look for??? What should i look at while i inspect these vehicles.

I do have a light blue 2005 with 28,000 miles that i will be looking at soon, they want 18,000 for it? What do you guys think???

Shop around, and I agree with NNYS2k, get the color you like. There are a lot of S2k out there, a lot on these forums. I would strongly suggest looking on these forums because the ones sold here are currently owned by enthuists and people that love/baby their S2k.

Good luck, it's a Honda, 05-08 should not have any issues...just watch for mods

Listen for a screaming exhaust when you hit redline. See if you can hear a smile cracking across your face. If not, then you aren't in an s2k.

At 7k miles...the car should be perfect.

Congrats!!

Congratulations!!! Agreed, 7k miles...there shouldn't be a problem. Based on the mileage, I'd bet it was a garage kept third car for the previous owner...probably babied. Sold to reduce expenses in the tight economy. Just my bet...

Enjoy!

Well guys, I get to the dealer, and all of a sudden they cant find the hardtop!!!! Damn!!!!

So they lowered the price to 18,000 out the door, which i thought i got a good deal, so i went for it.

Only problem I had is when i got home one of the side markers was dangling out of its place. I guess my first mod will be some jdm clears lol!

Anyways, time for some research, air intakes and exhaust. Any advice I would appreciate.

And by the way, the car is everything I expected from a driving experiance and more!

Go kart for the street.

whaaaa? they only knocked off 1200 dollars for the hardtop?? and how could they not 'find' it? hardtops are all 2K and up man, if you ever wanted one. .

as far as your questions
intake- I say don't waste your time.. the price you pay for the gains you get really isn't worth it. exhausts-- singles are louder and lighter, yet again another area that's hard to get gains. hang out in th N/A section and see what people like there .

I saw invest in fresh tires if the ones on it are 4 years old.. the last thing you need is a spin out into a ditch. See if tirerack has any Potenza RE01Rs on clearance (REALLY CHEAP) if not get the Potenza RE11s or Dunlop Direzza Star Specs. I have the star specs and I can push corners until my brain feels compressed before they even chirp a little bit. handling is what this car is all about. investing in some star studded suspension (if you have the dough) would be a GREAT upgrade KW ver III, JIC FLT-TAR2s..

that's all I got......

Hey thanks for the advice.

I couldnt get more out of the hardtop, I mean I am extremely happy, with the purchase, thought 18 for a car with 7,000 was a pretty good deal hartop or not.

I was just looking for a intake and filter to make the car sound good and a little bit of gain. Dont want to do anything extreme, right now anyways.

Thanks!
