New guy considering an s2k purchase in near future
Hey everyone, just to start things off, my name is jimmy and i'm 18.. i've wanted an s2k for about 2 1/2 years now(ever since i rode in one), and since then, i've ridden in several, and drove my friend Dave's supercharged s2k which i was very impressed with
I'm hoping that i'll be able to buy a used one within the next year hopefully, and i just wanted to start researching suspension things mostly for the s2k.
Currently, i'm driving a 95 civic coupe dx of which i'm turning back to stock slowly now and just making it a comfortable daily driver..
If yall care as to what i had done to it.. here you go:
suspension work:
spoon rear lower tie-bar
skunk2 front and rear strut bars
skunk2 front camber kit
ground control coilovers
tokico illumina struts(5-way adj.)
SPC rear lower control arms(silver)
16" konig holes(i bought them when i was first getting into cars when i was 16 y/o, my taste in wheels has changed since then, just to clear my name haha)
205/40/16 parada spec-2 tires all around
I also had stationary rails for my Sparco sprint seats, a mugen shift knob, b&m short shifter, aem intake, the green stuff front brake pads, and type-r style front/rear lip
most of that stuff is gone now so it's not that big of a problem anymore. i was just running that list by yall so it would somewhat clear up any accusations that i don't know anything.
my main reason for signing up on here already is that honda-tech doesn't cut it for the s2k stuff, and i want to be pointed in the right direction when it comes to modifying the suspension on an s2k to make it even more of a "handleing machine"
but yea, i figured this would make a good intro, and that's about it
also, i'd like to know of some good websites for when it comes to ordering s2k parts(suspension/aethestic mostly) so i can start to price things. but that's about it, thanks guys

Welcome, Jimmy. Most of the details about any conceivable mod you're thinking of can be found around the s2ki.com board. Your best bets are the S2000 Talk forum and the Under the Hood forum.
Best wishes on your hunt. Before you go for it, though, make sure you check the insurance situation and make sure you can afford to do it. It might be a big burden for someone at your stage in life, but I hope you can.
Best wishes.
