New guy here...looking to possibly buy
Buying a 2000 or 2001 is not such a bad thing. There are a lot of them out there with reasonable miles on them for under 20K. Mine has 90.5K on it, and I am getting ready to do the 90K maintanence (brake fluid, diff fluid, tranny fluid, filters, etc)...and it runs like a champ.
Read the following thread and you will understand why the S2000 is the best you can get for under $20K.

Well the car is eligible to be mine. Just waiting on loan approval still. If/when the loan goes through I should take possession of the car on Friday or Saturday

What year, color, interior color?????

Just gotta wait to hear back on my loan applications. Since I'm a young guy with no cosigner and not a long credit history it's hard for me
I was approved for 2 different loans from Lendingtree.com, has anyone ever used anything like this?
Good luck, Brian. Personally, I never did a used car loan. I highly recommend going to a good credit union and see what they can do for you. Some offer excellent used car loans.
If you have any property, consider an equity line of credit.
