New to the S2K Club....
Was looking for a Boxster S originally and found out about the IMS design issue that is basically a time bomb waiting to happen that can set you back $12-15$ K for a new motor (Yikes)
Well stumbled across this site a few months ago and read up on the car, lurked for a while and determined this was the car for me due to its Nice Price Point for a used car, Reliability and Cost effective Maint.
Took the plunge 3 weeks ago and bought an AP1 MY 2000 S2000 Silverstone Black Interior for $9K (saving me about 50% vs a Boxster S)
My Car...
Original Owner - now 43 years old was 33 when he bought the car
50K Miles
No Accidents - all vin numbers on panels - all minor dings were pulled (body is 99% perfect)
Full Honda Service History
Bone stock with minor bolt on upgrades - OEM Front Lip and Rear Spoiler
New Brakes / Rotors (< 1000 miles)
New Tires (< 1000 miles)
All Fluids Done (<1000 miles)
New Alum Mishimoto Racing Rad - By Me!
Full scheduled Service History from Honda at the same dealer!
All Recalls Done - New Top Boot, New Tail light Lenses (needed to complete prior to importation to Canada) Free Bees for me!
Planned upgrades:
Powder coated Black OEM Wheels and that is all she wrote (for now)
I think I did quite well on the price and hope the vehicle stays with me for many years to come!
