Just got my 2005 S2000 with 14k miles on it. Love everything about the car and plan to drive it every day. My mom has a 2001 S2000 that really made it obvious I needed this car.... I am also looking for any modifications that will not void the warranty. Thanks in advance!
Hardtop gives better aerodynamics at higher speeds. Not much extra stiffness though.
If you have an extended warranty or if the car is CPO, there is literally nothing you can do that doesn't run the risk of voiding the warranty. Extended warranty and CPO are much more restrictive than the 3yr/36k mile manufacturer's warranty.
Tires you can get away with...check out the Bridgestone RE-01R and the Dunlop Durezza Star Specs. Consider 225 front and 255 rear for improved handling.
You might be able to get away with doing a CR suspension swap since the parts will look all stock. Vastly improved handling. Get CR shocks, springs, swaybars (front & rear) plus swaybar bushings.
Take the money you would spend on car mods and mod the driver. Hit up some autoxes and take some performance driving schools.

My car was 'Honda Certified' so they tossed in the 100k bumper to bumper warranty on purchase. The only thing I know for sure right now is that I can change my own oil.....if I keep the receipts.
