Hey guys, just thought i'd introduce myself. My names Jacob. I'm 17, a senior in highscool, and live in Northern California. Right now I drive a 1998 eclipse rs. Mods on it are: Prothane motor mounts, 55mm throttle body with half-shaft mod, Intake manifold bored out to 57mm, megan racing cat back exhaust, megan racing 4-1 headers, aem short ram intake, Tokico blue shocks, Tokico springs, oem GSX rear sway bar, oem GSX rear lower control arms, Front upper strut bar, Front lower tie bar and 17 inch Konig Reign wheels. It's not a fast car but it does handle somewhat well and is a good daily driver.

I actually started wanting an S2000 about 2 years ago and after i went for a ride in my friends ap2 i decided i had to have one. All he had was Dunlop direzza starspecs tires and an invidia catback. One day he took me for a drive and I couldn't believe how fast the car could go around corners. It was amazing. I kept thinking I was in a race car or something because I had never been in something that handled so well not to mention it was pretty damn quick in a straightline.

I have been researching and learning about theses cars for more than a year so I do know a good deal of information about them. With graduation being on the same day as my birthday I hope to be able to convince my parents to get me an s2000 as a birthday/graduation present. I will have to get an ap1 because ap2s are just too expensive.

My plans are: glass rear window (if the car doesn't already have it), eibach prolkit lowering springs (don't want to go to low), T1r halfshaft spacers (if necessary), Invidia exhasut (cheap and i love the sound) and an Aem cold air intake. Also, wheels and tires in the future maybe rpf1s or advan rgII.

Well that's about it. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to tell me.

Thanks.
- Jacob

Good luck on your search. Read up on the snap oversteer problem that could happen with the earlier cars.

Ya iv'e read about that and some say that only happens if your a bad driver and since i'm not an extremely experienced driver would switiching to ap2 sway bars fix the problem or would I also have to switch to ap2 springs? Thanks.
