Default new member here...

Hay guys, i made this account awhile ago but im just now getting around to post. I dont have an sk2 yet. I been wanting to start looking for a second car, that was rwd and a coupe. So I was looking at either a 01-04 m3 or a sk2. After looking at m3's seams I could buy one but maintance on it is though the roof, so now im set on getting an sk2. I have owned hondas befour, 90 accord and 02 civic si, im an older member on sho.com, how i found out about this site. But im passed and done with the little cars so im stepin up to the big honda lol. Im hoping to have one inside a year, so im just here mostly to get info on any common problems, maintance and general cost of owning one. So ill see you guys around in the furture.

the biggest cost associated with this car is the mod bug.... If you can avoid that, it's just tires. If you prefer to keep the high performance tires on your S2k, they can be pricey Past that, I've found maintenance to be pretty cheap.

Welcome...the mod bug is aggressive around here. I pride myself in staying OEM until I just got the new stereo. Now I want intakes, rims, etc.

You'll enjoy the s2000

Well i know i wont stay stock, im going to get it rims, I/H/E and a protune just to bring out a few more ponys. Get a hard top , and mabey a strut/spring combo for a nice ride, since i want this to me my weekender kinda car, something i can take the date out in.

For any subie fans we might have on here this is where im at, at this time on my wrx.

its a 05 i have had since Feb 06, got it right after joining the army and getting to my unit.
mods so far.....
Seibon CF hoond/trunk
Sti Fog Covers(non sti logo)
DBA 4000's Front/rear rotors
Hawk Hps front/rear pads
Fluid transfer SS brake lines
SPT intake
GT-spec II 3 bolt header/uppipe combo(heat wraped)
Invidia divorced DP
Invidia N1 racing exhaust
Kartboy extended exhaust hangers
Greddy type rs BoV(yes i know flame on)
Cobb APv2
S202 replica CF wing(not on car yet)
Defi Boost, EGT, Oil Pressure In a custom blue
Work vs-xx 17x8.5 +49 Gold with polished lip
Tokico D-spec Struts
Tokico strut adjustment extenders
Swift R-spec springs
Paranoid Fabrications Saggy Butt Shims
Whiteline 24mm adjustment front and rear sways
Whiteline laterial links
Kartboy rear endlinks
TiC fender cowl braces
Exedy Oem Clutch(soon to be a act since thisones throwout when bad in 8 months)
Cobb double adjust Shifter
WC lathe werks SS knob.

Normal 05 wrx is all green, a local in dallas did a custom LED in cluster, radio, defi guages and controls, and all window controlers.

cf hood with sti scoop on it.

the vs-xx's with g-force sports in 245/40's

And me holdin on the wing im going to put on, its a stock jdm 02-03 special editon wing, knockoff though real ones just cost way to much for my tastes.

I love this shot, shows the stance, still wish i could have done 255's.

But ya thats my baby, and she is about to get a act streetlight clutch and flywheel, and stiffer sti engine/tranny mounts. But she will have to make room for a s2k one day now.
