Post Possibly getting my dream car (S2k) soon.

Ok so i'm 22 years old and i'm a long time honda owner. I have had a 94 civic coupe, 92,93, and 94 civic hatchbacks and a 89 crx si. I am finally ready to step it up and get one of my all time affordable (I hope) dream cars. I have seen many 2000's and 2001's with around 60-80k miles going for around $15,000 to $18,000. I was wondering who else on here recently bought a used s2k and how much you paid for it and would I be better off buying from a private seller or a dealer? I know each option has its pros and cons but i'm looking for another persons honest opinion. Also i'm kind of worried about my insurance but I will do whatever it takes to afford it. I have 2 points and no accidents. I was considering putting the car in my fiances name but i'm not sure if it would be any cheaper considering shes 19 with no points or accidents. So if anyone could give me some insight or any good ideas as to where I should buy and how much I should expect to pay and whatnot it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot guys and wish me luck!

Insurance was not too bad compared to my 02 Civic Si. About 2 dollars more per month. I purchased MY2000 with 28,000 miles for $15,000. Good luck with your findings!!!

wow kramer, that's a real good deal..

Here in IL, most S's that fit your mileage go for 15-18k... However I sense that prices are about to increase due to summer time.
