Default New member just wrecke S2000 CR :(

Hi folks!

I dig the site. I just had some bad luck last week and wrecked my 2008 S2000 CR. I was hit by a guy in a pick up truck driving down the median/sidewalk while I was turning into goodwill to donate some clothes. Pretty sad stuff. Here is a link to a small vid I made of the remains.

As of now State Farm is going to dump cash into it to fix it rather than total it. It is about $4000.00 short of being totaled. The good news is most is cosmetic damage. The interior lines/rails (whatever they are called) are good. So it just a matter of replacing broken crap and repainting it. But it will never be the same to me, so I will probably move it whenever it is back from the shop. I keep telling myself "Life isn't fair"

damn, try to do a good deed and this is what happens. seems like assholes always get the better end of the deal. im glad your ok, but i feel ya on the car never being the same. i wrecked mine due to some bad road conditions and weather, it wasnt the cars fault but i still dont like it as much as i did but were working on our relationship so i think everything will be fine.

That is a hell of a 1st post! I feel for you.
A good repair shop can make a car good as new....hopefully everything works out for the best.
Let us know how the repair goes.

This was such a depressing way to start my morning at work. That CR looked gorgeous, and hopefully they can restore it back to its full glory

Glad you're not hurt though. That's what matters the most.

Welcome to the site. Sorry it's under such sad circumstances. Edit: sorry to see about the insurance hassle, not sure what i'd do in your shoes. Glad to see you come out alright (able to walk) after such an accident.

Just FYI, here's your original thread in the CR subforum:

Sorry to the the damage but the 'car' did what it supposed to do, protect you. The hood pins are a small detail but that probably saved you from the hood coming through the windshield. God's speed in your recovery.

I feel for you man!! I wanna kick that guy in the trucks ass! I'm not sure it is worth getting fixed. Is there anyway you can part it out and cash your insurance check? You could possibly use the left over money on an another CR.
