New member, and looking to buy!
Hey everyone!
I will be spending my summer out in the Bay Area at Tesla and unfortunately will not be able to bring my track rat z4m coupe or Prius with me (well maybe I am fortunate I can't bring the Prius
).
I have family and friends in the area and would love to pick up a small fun car such that I can explore the region, and take it to Laguna Seca, Sonoma and Buttonwillow a few times with them. My first thought was an s2000!
My plan is to fly out in the early june, with a couple options in mind and pick something up (clean title ap1 most likely) for less than $10k. I know this may be a challenge, but I would actually prefer a high mileage "fixer-upper" such that I can alleviate stress and unwind wrenching on the car. Then in September I will try to sell the car and come back to the east coast, utilizing the newly acquired funds to put a supercharger on the m coupe over the winter.
Now the two biggest problem with this plan may be selling the car and refraining from modifying it. I have driven a few s2000s already and may struggle to let it go, even only after a few months together!
I look forward to researching the forums and input from all its members!
Here a few pics of the m coupe if anyone is interested.
