Hello everyone just wanted to properly introduce myself I just purchased a 2007 silverstone grey s2k and couldn't be any happier. Some of my previous cars were 03 dodge srt4, 05 Mitsubishi Evo VIII, 07 Honda Civic Si.

My first Honda vechile was my 08 CBR600rr ever since then I have been in love. The ergonomics , the useable power the reliability the handling along with the price is like nothing I have ever experienced I must say I am hooked. So I sold my Evo for a Honda Civic Si because I was getting bored and wanted to try something new. Then I wanted a track bike so I bought a 05 CBR600rr. Civic was getting a little bland and I'm just not a fan of fwd. So I just started doing research about the Honda S2K and figured I try something new. Never had a convertible , 2 seater, or a rwd car before so I figure im killing many birds with one stone. So here I am today! I'm happy with my purchase completely bone stock and looking to create more friends and learn more about this platform.

Tinted windows for privacy, New Headunit to connect to my iPhone , and a k&n drop in filter .... Cuz sports car. I believe a vechiles should be driven so don't expect her to be a garage queen im commiting and putting as many smiles (miles) on her as I can.

I know this isn't a new platform and been out for awhile so I'll take any advice of what I should look out for while owning or how to have fun.

Thxs for reading

This forum is the place to be!

I've had my '06 just over 7 months but 3 have been off the ground under a cover in my garage. My avatar will change when she comes out for the summer. Other than clear (JDM?) side signals she looks identical to yours. Standard issue Honda Silver is what I call her. Other than a round CR shift knob she's stock but an Invidia exhaust and high flow cat are waiting in the garage for installation. Good ole Santa.

Low mileage cars (mine had 38K miles last July) typically have been garage queens and some maintenance may have been ignored. For example the brake fluid needs to be changed every 3 years regardless of mileage and I think engine coolant is on the same schedule. Not sure if the Maintenance Minder on the '06 and later cars picks this up. Engine, transmission, and differential oils will show up on the Maintenance Minder but these fluids are inexpensive and there are detailed instructions (and part numbers) in the maintenance section here to guide us thru the process. Heck, I was able to do the last two in 30 minutes under the car (selling dealer had changed the oil/filter and brake fluid). A CarFax will usually show dealer service. The '06 and later owners manuals are very light on maintenance intervals as they depend on the Maintenance Minder. Download the '05 manual (the last pre-maintenance minder) for the details. It appears most of us are using the "severe service" intervals -- or earlier. The valve adjustment seems to be very important. See the threads on this. I'll be doing mine before the car goes back in service in a couple of months. And the timing chain tensioner is due for preventive maintenance. Looks like a simple swap.

Other than yoiur car possibly needing a new set of tires you look good to go. I put a new set of Bridgestone RE 11A tires on mine last summer as the Dunlaps were pretty warn, noisy, and harsh riding. I also removed the black aftermarket Enike RP wheels that were on the car and fitted OEM wheels. I don't have dyno numbers but have seen no evidence black wheels add any more horsepower than red background H-emblems. Or clear side lights.

Pay attention to possible top wear from the inside over the passenger shoulder. You'll find the cure and hours of good information here. Just keep reading. There are long term members who have posted their experiences and will be glad to help.
