New member needs advice
Hello all, as a new member - (well 4 months a member but my first time on the forum) i need some help and advice and would like to formally introduce myself!
I have a standard V reg S2k and am thinking of adding an exhaust and a K&N Typhoon induction kit. What are your thoughts on the K&N kit and does anyone have an exhaust for sale that might fit my needs. I like the look of the invidia titanium tipped. Any ideas where i could get one in the UK, as the shipping for one from the US costs more than the exhaust itself!! Thanks, Brett

The K&N stuff is pretty good in my experience with them. I have had K&N on all of my cars since I started driving. On my s2000 i have the K&N FIPK, you might look into that one as well since when me and a buddy looked up the different intakes at his work, the FIPK and typhoon provided nearly the same gains. I think the FIPK was slightly higher (about 2hp I think). Granted though this was from K&N's dyno numbers for the AP2. If I remember correctly the typhoon kit was 15 or so dollars more expensive anyway. Dont quote me on that though. You might look into it though. As for the exhaust, you might check a local forum if you dont have any luck with the for sale section on s2ki. Good luck though. I hope everything works out for you.
Welcome, Brett. Lots of folks using K&N as well as Invidia exhausts. Make sure to search for posts around the board to try to help you find what you're looking for. There are some terrific exhaust threads in the gallery forum.
Also, as a new MY00 owner, make sure you're checking your oil constantly. The early year S2000 engines had an appetite for the stuff.
