Default K&N FIPK vs K&N Typhoon

I just bought a K&N Typhoon kit thinking that a cold air solution would have better horsepower gains, but found out that the FIPK yields more HP. Am I missing something? Should I have bought the FIPK instead?

I tried running a search for a comparison between the two intakes, but didnt find any specific posts. I thought you guys would have for sure beaten the topic to death...

Any help is really appreciated.

The gains from any intake is insignificant IMO. I personally have the FIPK and I love the way it sounds. Can't go wrong with any intake.

The gains are small enough to be difficult to feel and to measure. Go with what you like.

If i am not wrong, FIPK is CARB approved but the Aircharger is not. looks exactly the same to me so I also dunno if there are any technical differences..

The FIPK and Typhoon are both CARB legal. Both are excellent systems, but cater to different needs. The typhoon is designed to give more power early on, while the FIPK is designed to really help the motor shine while in VTEC. Like has been stated before, you're not going to find dramatic power in any off the shelf intake kit but both kits will definitely help when it comes to sound.
