Default New member and S2000 owner

Hello, everyone!

My name is Steve, and I'm a car enthusiast and (almost) S2000 owner. I've made the deal to buy the car and I'm flying to San Antonio on Saturday to purchase the car and drive it home to the Dallas area. I wasn't planning on buying a car now, but a colleague at work who knows I've wanted one decided to sell his. It's a good deal on a well-cared-for (and not thrashed) car, so I decided to jump. It's a 2002 in Suzuka Blue with a blue interior. I'll update with pictures after I pick it up and detail it.

I've wanted an S2000 for a while. I bought a 2002 MR2 Spyder in 2009, but I've never been quite satisfied with it. It just doesn't have the precise feel of the S2000, and of course isn't as fast. It's for sale now if you're interested!

My other car is a 2011 BMW 1M Coupe. This is a marvelous car, and one I plan to keep until one of us dies. With the addition of the S2000, I really have my dream garage.

Right now I don't plan on modding my S2000, but I might be interested in the future. I look forward to learning from all of you.

Welcome Steve! Great to have you on board. The S2000 is a nice upgrade from the MR2 Spyder

Oh, and that 1M is SWEET!

So I picked up the car on Saturday. All went well, and I really love the car. Power is good, the chassis is soooo refined, and it was a please to drive home top-down. Yesterday I spent about 3 hours detailing the car, especially getting the interior looking good (lots of time with a toothbrush and my interior detailing spray).

About my only complain so far is with ergonomics. The interior is definitely cramped, and access to storage is really awkward. Of course, I knew this coming in, and none of those affects what this car is really for: Driving. As a driving machine, this is a really special car!

Here are some pics of the new beast:
