Default New and in need of some advice

Hi I have just joined having owned my Honda for 6 years. I am looking at selling my hardtop as in 6 years it has never been near the car. A local garage owner who also has an S2000 offered me £300 for it but has now said because his car doesn't have the brackets to be able to fit the top, it is not worth £300. Can some one please tell me if he is pulling a fast one here to get a cheap hardtop!! Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks

Hard tops in North America are advertised for US$3,500! As of this morning that's about GB£2,150. Brackets are available.

Wow, don't sell it for £300. It is definitely worth more. He could always buy the brackets elsewhere online and have the hardwares shipped to his place...

Depending on the condition, I wouldn't let it go less than £1,500 in my pocket.
