Default New and need some help

Hello everyone, my name is Zakk, and im new to the s2ki community, but not new to Honda's... i own a '97 Prelude, which i intend to keep.

I need help making a decision basically...

I found a stock '00 GPW w/ Black/Red interior 25k miles. It has car cover, front bra, and white hardtop. This car is immaculate. The owner is only asking $17,500. The thing is, is i cant get a loan as of right now, because i've been doing a/c work for the past 5 months, and was getting paid cash, so the bank doesnt know i had a job. I start my new job monday, which i will be getting paid decent and each month for 3 months, i get bumped up in pay. So, i can afford the car, but im not able to get the loan myself, and neither of my parents will co-sign.
This is the car of my dreams basically, and would hate to see it go, but now my gf offers to take out a loan for me, b/c she knows what this car means to me. I tell her thats not an option.. but in her mind, i have no reason to tell her not to do it.

So my question is.. Will there be deals like this in the future? Should i pass this one up? Let the gf help me out? I dont know what to do..

any advice is greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Zakk

Pass it up until you can do it yourself.

Sorry to say this it will be sweeter and saves the agony if the GF becomes less a GF for reasons known only to GF.

They say its better to have loved and lost then not lvoed at all.

I can say its FARKN hard having had and lost and then waiting to have again. Remember that.

yeah i understand that... i dont think the gf will be leaving though haha

i just dont want to have to go through the hassle in 6 months - 1yr finding another AP1 GPW on red/black interior with low miles, for this price with a hardtop, you know?

also, to make things even harder.. theres a gpw '01 red/black interior w hardtop on ebay right now... 16k miles for 24k

i would hate to lose this car now, and in less than a year, have to pay 3-4 grand more to get exactly what i want..again... i hate decisions haha

and i know it sounds as if i have already made up my mind.. but, really, im just trying to find reasons to justify letting her help me out or just walking away from the deal

and thanks for the advice, i appreciate it

Well if you can be comfortable with the GF helping out.

Go for it. Don't pass it up.

I'm sure you GF can arrange the loan, with the cash coming out of your account. No drama.

Just give her a drive every so often.

If you see you and ur GF lasting years into the future then I dont see no reason not too, that is one hell of a deal and I think you would be highly upset to let it pass. GL let us know what happens!

My gf loves helping me out, sometimes, i wish she would just go behind my back and do these things, haha.
I dont mind her helping me out, honestly. I mean, she's only getting the money.. i'm paying it back, so its not like she's losing anything, except gaining good credit (which will help when we are looking for a house). We both have great credit, yet she can show proof of having a job for 3yrs.
Im not worried about not being able to afford the car, b/c i've done all the math and "what-ifs" and i have enough money left over after all the bills.
And she will be the primary "co-pilot", haha.

and yes you were help.. haha

to SKAY: as i said above, me and the gf would be married already if it weren't for our age.. i never saw myself married before the age of 24/25.. and the same with her. We always talk about how we're "married".. our friends already see us as married.
I really would be stupid to pass the deal. The owner is 5 minutes from me, and a doctor, who really doesnt know what he has. Cars been well maintained and garaged its whole life. No door dings, nick's in the paint, nothing.
Thanks for the GL, and ill be sure to keep everyone posted

Don't worry that another deal won't come along. They aren't going up in value, that's for sure.
