Congrats & Welcome, I use to own a tC also, but I certainty do not miss it one bit. Although, I must agree it is a great car the 4 years I had it.

Nice car and like the others said get the front lip and maybe upgrade the sound because OEM speaker and deck just do not cut it. Great job tackling the fluids on your first days of ownership, I done the same thing.

If the paint chips bother you try and get a repaint and add a clear bra installed. I have one on my car and worth every penny to me. Can't tell you how many times it saved my paint from chipping.

Also, check your soft top and try to do some preventive maintenance on it to prevent the notorious rips caused by bars. There are threads here that will help you out with that, just gotta do some searching.

Good luck and glad to see a fellow tC owner go to a s2k.

Are you from socal? I think this was the car I was considering recently, with the strakes and AP1 spoiler.

thanks!

i totally agree on the clear bra. my tC would have been a mess without it. ive seen my friends black cars at 60k miles with half the bumper paint gone from rock chips. mine was at 100k+ and looked fantastic.

i will read up on the soft top issues. as far as i can tell so far it is perfect... but i'll do my research. you never know!

Welcome! I just picked up a NFR as well, and yeah, paint chips everywhere!!! You can't see it from a few feet away, but up close the car has them all over. I did some research here and it looks like Honda had to use thin paint to meet environmental restrictions. Somebody else said it was weight consideration. Either way it obviously chips easy....

very! that seems to be most paint on cars today... cheap. i'll probably have a clear bra on it soon, though. it is a life saver.

who ever owned my car put stuff ON the car and let it slide off the sides, so there are plenty of surface scratches on the clear coat. awful. some other deep scratches from keys. some missing chips around the trunk.
