New owner
I just purchased a 2002 s2000. It has 8,500 miles. It is in perfect like new condition. An OEM hardtop is included. I cannot wait to take delivery this weekend. I have always loved the looks of this car and now that I have driven a few I am blown away by the performance. Lord I am going to enjoy this car.
I'm jealous! 14 years and 8500 miles?! Sounds great! The car isn't much past its first oil change interval.
There are several maintenance items like coolant, brake and clutch fluid that are time based rather than mileage. Unless you have recent maintenance records you'll feel better with a complete change of these as well as engine, gearbox, and differential lubricants. Give you a good baseline as well.
And tires! If they're original OEM the rubber is no doubt hard and possibly brittle. Be careful not to put the car in the cattails, these "rotate" very quickly and handle much different from the front wheel models most of us have been driving. Wrecked S2000s appear here weekly. Wrecking one like yours would be criminal.
