Welcome. Drive fast and well.

( BTW - if you can still get in and out of your S2000 you are not old)

That's definitely RIO

I just finished painting mine over winter

took me 80+ sprayouts to color match. both rio and yellow use the same yellows and pearls, but spa has a thinner basecoat, with a white primer, and less color mixed with the pearl coat. rio uses a grey or black primer, more basecoat, and more color in the pearl coat.

Anyway... Spa is the harder color to match, Because you have to be careful with application, or you end up with a darker yellow... aka rio. Spa in and of itself is a translucent paint job that gets its luminance from the white primer shining through.

really pretty S though... I love yellow. congrats

Looks to be RYP after I got her delivered last night. I am totally in love -- quick question for you all. When I am just cruising in 2-5th gear, RPM's around 2-3k... is the "whine" normal from what sounds like the gearbox area? She shifts very smooth, no issues with that and clutch engages roughly 40% down. It's not extreme, but I am wondering if that is a normal part of the S2000 noises that come with the car.

does it sound like its coming from under the shifter or from slightly behind you?

This car makes some noises, and can be overwhelming at first.

Maybe post a video I'm pretty good with sounds.

I can do that when it stops raining here! I need to recheck where I feel it is coming from, but I will take a video and post to the forum.

Whine (like gear whine when you're going reversing in any car), or clutch chatter/buzz?

Whine - no good
Clutch Chatter/Buzz and it'll almost feel like it's coming from the rear wheels - Normal for AP1.

This is exactly what it is, it is clutch buzz after some googling which I guess is normal!

It's kind of annoying to be honest. I just keep reminding myself it's part of the AP1 ownership experience.

And because, race car!
