Default New Owner in Dallas, Texas

Well,

It's no coincidence that the day I took my first test drive was the same day that I purchased my first S2K. I got the email notification from my Ebay auto search on Friday that a 2002 Suzuka Blue S2K with 22,000 miles was sitting at David McDavid Honda in Frisco just down the road. I was thinking about buying this exact same vehicle from a guy in Indiana, so I thought I would go at least take a look. Well I took a test drive, and we started talking turkey. In the end, I got a decent deal I think given the mileage.

Here are some photos of my new love:

I want to thank the owners of this site and all the helpful people for the great information. I couldnt' be happier with the purchase. Hope to see some of you at a regional event.

Michael,

Excellent! Welcome aboard. I expected we might be hearing from you!

Nice to see the pix. Is that a rear spoiler I see, or is that just a reflection?

p.s./ Nice color (and model year) choice, not that I'm biased or anything!

Thanks Chaz. I wanted to be just like you. Haha. Yeah, it's got a rear spoiler. Runs real nice. I'm pleased to announce that I've owned it for almost 24 hours now and I haven't wrecked it yet. I think that's a record.

Wonderful car. Absolutely wonderful car. A bit scary at times to the uninitiated. But man, that's some fine engineering.

Agreed! Enjoy. And, of course, take it easy a while.

If you have any ?'s or need advice, just holler (here or PM)...

Best wishes.

Congrats, are you the guy that came out to one of the last autocrosses this year to check the cars out?

Yeah that was me. When does the break in period (FOR THE DRIVER) end?

I took a little joy ride this morning up in the countryside north of Frisco. There are some nice little windy roads up there that I always used to ride on my motorcycle if I wanted to scrape pegs for a bit. I put the top town, turned up the heat and put the radio station on 93.3 (the hard rock station in Dallas who's motto is "Stay Hard"). I had wood for that whole section of FM 455 and 543 (MAP)

Nice color and congrats. If David McDavid is the down the road you are not too far from me. Oh and I am sure about your tires but stock 050's on my 2005 don't like the cold so be careful.
