New owner, Don Palmer course this week!
Hi all,
At the end of April I bought myself a 2005 S2000 in Nurburgring Blue with the blue leather. I'd been thinking about it for about a year and wasn't sure whether to spend the money given that I was saving up a house deposit etc. Anyway, I decided to splurge and I'm loving every minute of it :-)
I'm finding the car incredible in the dry, lots of grip as long as I don't do anything stupid, but I've never been quite sure how much further I could push it. I'm reluctant to push it too far, as I've heard they they can get quite snappy and I don't want to end up in a ditch. In the wet, well, what can I say! I'm sure you've all heard it all before, but it can get a bit hairy to say the least!
I've decided that I'm going to go for what I consider to be the best value performance upgrade for the car - a good quality car control course. My Brother did a course with Don Palmer at MIRA (a good few years ago now) in his Caterham and was raving about it afterwards, so I've decided to book a place on Don's car control course at Bruntingthorpe. I'm just waiting for a call from Don to confirm the venue later on today, but hopefully it'll be this Friday. If any of you guys are thinking about doing the course, it'd be great to see some other S2K's there! For those of you that haven't heard of Don, the course I'm doing is this:

I've had a quick search through the forums and it seems a few of you have already bitten the bullet and done the course. The reviews all seem to be very positive, so I'm pretty convinced I'm doing the right thing.
Anyhow, Hello to all of you from a new member! :-)
Cheers,
Neil

Ah, thanks negcamber, I hadn't spotted the UK forum!
A trip to the North of Italy sounds good! I did similar trip a few years ago in my mini and had a great time. Some fantastic roads to be taken in around the Alps. Mmmmmmm, I'm drooling just thinking about it!
