New owner in less than 24 hours!
Hello, everyone.
I'm a lurker, soon to turn into owner, soon to turn into member.
I've admired S2000's for several years now, ever since I watched three of them tear up the road course at Gateway International Speedway in St. Louis while inspecting the track for another car group.
I've been into Mitsubishis (Eclipse and 3000GT's) for about 4 years and recently decided an S2000 might work. I just this morning sold one of our two 3000GT's (my wife's red one is in storage for the winter) and will be picking up a Sebring Silver 02MY tomorrow morning. The S2000 has about 20 more hp and 1000 less pounds than my 3000GT. It didn't take much of a test drive to blow my socks off. I'm expecting to have a lot of fun with the car.
I'm an ex-golf professional (really) but currently make my living in customer service at a large collison repair shop in Illinois. Older owner with 3 daughters (pics will NOT be forthcoming) just out of college, and a wife that enjoys performance cars as much as I do. We're in central Illinois.
I've been into AutoX for a number of years and the most fun I've ever had in a car is running hot laps at road courses around the country. That would be in a car by myself.
I'm looking forward to participating in the forums and getting to know a lot of you online. I'm particularly interested in audio/video, performance, and cosmetic upgrades... aren't we all?
Here's my soon to be new car. I'll post more pics once I get her home.
