New s2k owner
Hello all. Just wanted to introduce myself as a new s2000 owner in Tampa. I have been an avid DSM guy for about 12 years, and I have finally kicked the habit. They are just getting to be old cars and require more maintenance than I care to perform. I have to say in all those years a DSM never broke, left me stranded, or failed to start and get me where I needed to go. I've run mid 11's on a stock turbo in a 90 laser, high 11's in a 92 AWD talon, and 13's in a 97 GST, in the opposite order listed. My days of modding cars I need for reliable transportation are over.
I went searching for a car I would enjoy in stock form. I was originally looking for a Z4, but couldn't find one at a reasonable price, and a manual transmission. Those BMW people sure do love their automatics. I went to a dealer to drive a 2005 S2000 with 29,000 miles on it. I was sold about 30 seconds into the test drive. I am the proud new owner of a S2000, that is, and will remain stock. How exciting for everyone here.

You can see what DSM ownership will do to a garage floor...
I just had my first weekend of good weather, and a long top down cruise out to the beach, with sunburn, and the car has already proven to be worth the price of admission in driving enjoyment. I've been reading and learning on this site, and I don't think I have any questions. Everything seems to be well covered, and that's a relief coming from the DSM world where everything is documented and a step by step with pictures can be found.
