Default New Owner from Southern Texas

Hey guys my name is Filiberto. I recently purchased a black 2004 s2000 about a week ago with about 130k. I have to say great little car and like most new owners ive always wanted one!! But... unfortunetly I purchased a lemon s2000 . Story goes had some money saved up and I sold my 1997 Silver Honda Prelude and my 2000 Toyota Tacoma so i got my hands on some money. I live in the "valley" which is the southern most tip of Texas so its hard to find these types of cars down here. So I obviously jumped on craigslist immediately considereing the fact that I was carless!!! I found a couple but only about two in my price range one was a silver ap1 with red interior absolutely gorgeous but it had 140k and the other the black ap2 with 69k (according to the dash) Long story short I test drove the black one was in love with it so much that I went against all my common sense and purchased it for 9k. the car fax said it had 6 owners and it was crashed twice and to top it off the mileage on the dash is incorrect!!!!!!!!!! So the guy lied through his teeth but ofcourse i was so mesmerized well that and i was carless and needed a car asap for work and school that i bought it. Problem now has a really bad misfire that i hadnt noticed!!!! Well dont want to fill this thread with anymore negativity so ill stop there im really hoping that s2ki can help me solve my problem and get my car running well

thanks for reading and sorry about the negativity

still love my lemon s2000

Welcome aboard, Filiberto! Sounds like that car has had quite a history. Hopefully a visit to the Under The Hood section will steer you in the right direction on that misfire issue. Good luck!

Start working your way through the maintenance DIY’s. There isn’t much you can’t find instructions for around here.
