To continue about the car... I found typical owner info and receipts in the top center console dept and googled the previous owners. First owner was about 35 when she bought the car and used it as a daily. She bought it in July of '02 and sold it the 2nd owner in July of '03 with 13,200 miles.

The 2nd owner is now 70 years old. I have the original receipts for the engine work. It was done at a speed shop in Joplin in August '03. The receipts are on thermal paper and difficult to see the specifics. It doesn't look like the exhaust work was included.

I have nearly all the receipts for general maintenance over the past ten years - all done at a Honda dealer. All fluids, including the rear end were changed twice a year.

It appears to have a very mild tune. The boost gauge hits about 4.5 lbs @ a little over 8k rpm.

Plans include: #1 Ap2 wheels (done, got lucky on craigslist) #2 Find a local shop with plenty of Honda experience to check the tune - very high priority #3 Upgrade the sound with bluetooth #4 Maybe, add some sound deadening #5 Enjoy the hell out of it!!!

Here's a pic with the new wheels -

Thanks for the advice. I'll take my time learning the limits. It make my old '99 M3 look silly. Great catch on the heat shield, I find and order one.

I'd keep the boost low due to lack of intercooler/water-to-air cooler. Higher boost = higher heat.

Find out what size pulley you have and what boost you are running. There is a heat exchanger for sale in the forced induction classifieds right now but I am not sure if it is the one you need.

I don't know what your experience is with cars but you should find out what EMS you are running and you should pick up an AFR gauge as well. Stop by in the FI section on here and say hi to some of the great guys in there. They will help you out with anything or answer any questions you have.

I have a fair amount of experience with cars, but not I have a lot to learn about the set on this one. The boost gauge is hitting about 4.5 lbs @ 8000-8100 rpm. I not going to push it until I get it checked out. Pulley size is about 4.5". At work yesterday I tried to pull the panel to check the EMS. Everything was so tight, I let it go - not enough time to be patient. I'll try get in there tonight, but I'd bet it's stock. I'll checkout the after cooler and get an AFR gauge.

I reached out to CT-Engineering to see if they have a copy or pdf of the original install instructions, parts list etc. on the kit installed. Maybe I'll get lucky.

I would think that pulley would get you at least 6psi especially since you do not have an aftercooler or intercooler. Take my advice and make a thread here. These guys will help you out. I don't know too much about supercharger kits myself. Good luck!

I put the ap2's on and planned on selling the ap1's. Had 2nd thoughts, maybe I'll just hang on to them in case I wanted to sell the car down the road and have the original rims in perfect condition with good tires. So I looked into shelf life and proper storage of tires. Learned how to read date codes etc.

The rears were just put on before I bought the car and the receipt was provided. The fronts are clearly used but still have a ton of tread, no signs of age at all. Rears were manufactured in 2010, cool. Holy crap, the fronts were made in 2003!!!
