New S2000 Owner
Hi,
Put a deposit down on my S2000 this weekend so will shortly be joining you with er, a very broken car! I've always been into my cars and with a limited budget my first few were all Vauxhall Novas - one of which being a partially rebuilt, completely stripped out, bucket seated 1.6 8v (which I rather miss!) Unfortunately travelling to uni and back in it got rather expensive with a lairy cam and dodgy fuel regulator so I pick up a 306 Diesel, then picked up a Nova diesel for a year or so, and then an E34 525 TDS, but I kept a lot of the parts from my 1.6 8v and a new mustard yellow shell I picked up and that has been sitting in various garages for 6 years or so as an intended track car build! Daily wise I have an '88 Alpina B10 still which unfortunately suffered some engine trouble and needs some TLC, and my current daily is this:

The S2000 will be replacing the Nova as my track car build, so will be getting stripped down and fettled in various places. I was actually planning on saving up/clearing out the Nova parts for a year-18 months before picking one up, but one came up at a far too tempting price with the engine/subframe removed as one piece and having been sat for a long time. Ideal for what I need, less ideal for everyone else, so cheap! Unfortunately the engine has been sat out in the elements for that time and is full of water, so I'm having to bring forwards plans of rebuilding it, and postpone plans of actually driving it! Edging more and more towards building it up properly to handle boost reliably so I can work on other areas of the car over the next few years.
