New S2000 Owner
Hi.
Thought i'd post and introduce my self to the forum.
Am picking up my first S2000 2005 GT this Saturday, test drove it earlier in the week and got to say it's amazing, massive jump for me ( currently driving Toyota yaris 1.5 VVTI 2004 ) my brother has had 2 s2k's and ever since then i wanted to get 1.
Got the car in black 50k miles with full red leathers along with the speaker headrests, based around bedfordshire (will be great to meet other s2k owners).
A few questions?
Is there anything that needs to be changed when buying a s2k? (camber, geo bolts etc)
Best starting mods?
Any reputable garages near or around the bedfordshire area?
Thanks

Mods? The car needs no "mods."
If there's money burning a hole in your pocket consider good summer tires. Either Max or Extreme performance types. Learn the car. Take a high performance driving course if you can as these cars, like all RWD performance cars drive much differently at the edge than the FWD cars we've been subjected to the past several decades.
"New to me (you)" cars benefit, at least psychologically from base line maintenance. All fluids, filters (don't forget the cabin air filter), etc. There are plenty of recommendations on the forum including the daily question "What's the best oil." Read the posts. Don't be "that guy" and ask this.
After this you canbugger mod the car to the extent of your wallet. But don't expect significant performance changes beyond performance tires. Not without an aftermarket ECU and performance tuning.

Thanks for the info Chuck, I will be reading the posts regarding whats best for the cars so you should'nt see duplicate threads .
As for mods I was thinking of subtle changes that can be returned to normal if I plan on selling the car... As for driving experience I intend to go to a track to learn the limits of the car in a safe environment.
