Default New S2K driver

Hey guys, im back from a little 6month hiatus. I just picked up an 01 S2K certified pre-owned from the dealer. 27k miles. Unfortunately the car didnt come with an owners manual. the dealer is ordering it now. But are there any things i should do as a new owner? I coming from a 2nd gen RX7 turbo, so im used to small rear wheel drive cars. but anything S2K specific?

oh and what is this secret compartment i keep hearind and reading about?

Thanks,
Mike

there isnt really a secret compartment, but if you need a place to traffic heroin the center seat pad can be lifted up to hide whatever.

Guess what. Your owner's manual is probably IN the secret compartment. Open the glove box (next to your right shoulder) and lift up on the tab that's hanging from the top plastic. That's the secret compartment. CHeck for the manual there.

Mr. Rx7,

What's your take on the plastic rear window? I'm looking at buying a silverstone 01 right now, a color I like more than the '02 sebring silver, but I'm not sure about the visibility through the plastic, how it will hold up, or how much it would cost to change it to glass (or even replace the plastic every so often). Any thoughts?

entire new glass top will cost about $1000, and takes some slight modification to install. The plastic window can be reconditioned to clear it up/keep is clear.. but it will never be as good as glass. It's not too bad to look through. You can see cars, just not in perfect detail.

very true to what vtec9 said. the only porblem i noticed is in the morning with the dew. i personally dont mind lil things like that. i also work at an airport so we have plenty cleaning supplies for lexan, plexicoat and everything else clear.

i guess it will become a pet peeve over time. i havent looked into glass window conversion either but i will search for soon.
