Default New S2K owner in Alabama

I flew to NY, picked up an 04 S2K w/ 60K miles and drove back to Huntsville, AL this Thanksgiving.

I'm hoping to meet some other owners in the area and learn more about the car.

The previous owner made some cosmetic mods I'm hoping to fix (ie- change the heavy 18x8.5/18x9.5 setup to lighter 16x7/16x9)

PS- how much are the hardtops worth? I'm pretty content w/ the convertible top, seeing as the hardtop doesn't add much structural rigidty...

A lot of used hardtops are found for sale in the northeast forums...but you would have to drive back to get it.

Welcome!! Were you in Richmond headed south on 95 Sunday morning? It was the only S I saw on my trip north.

No, I already have a hardtop; just wondering if it's worth selling in exchange for proper wheels/suspension....

apart from the 'look', what are the benefits of having a hardtop (besides track safety)?

If you saw a formula red s2k on clunky looking wheels, that was me...

Congrats, fellow Huntsvillian! I just joined the day before Thanksgiving myself :-)

There is a meet up next Thu. Check the AL S2K subforum.

If its an OEM hard top, you are looking at $1,500 to $2,000. I haven't seen too many come up lately in the f/s forums but that's a good place to get an idea of the current market. In the northern climates, HT are popular for those that drive their car year-round, helps keep the warm in and cold out.

Nice car, good luck.
