Just kind of curious, and not trying to be an asshole... Why do people pay other people to change out fluids? It's honestly very easy and only requires basic tools. I'm a very lazy person and can definitely afford to have someone else do it, but I just don't trust people to do it as well as I would. I understand this is your friend so it's a different situation, but otherwise I prefer to do it myself and know that not a single drop was spilled and everything was kept clean and torqued/filled to spec

I'm not sure how much that would all cost at a dealership normally. However, DO NOT let Honda change out the differential fluid with their factory Honda stuff, it's not meant for the S2000 and will damage the differential.
Its good that you informed me about wrong differential fluid, I was going to have that changed at the dealership, which is the correct fluid?

Oh no, I totally understand what you're saying. I try to do as much work on my own cars as I can. It's just I've been very busy since school started and my buddy has access to the lifts and tools. I wouldn't trust anyone else aside from him and myself to work on my car.

I went with Mobil 1 LS 75w90 Gear oil. You should be able to find it at most auto parts stores.

Yeah, if it was a friend of mine who gave me a good deal and I didn't have the time it'd probably be different.

You may want to look into LE 1605 diff fluid. Supposed to be the best. You can buy it from ricks2k.com and hardtopguy.com
