New to the s2k world
Hello all. I'm new to these roadsters, and in fact do not own one quite yet. I do however have a 2008 Subaru WRX sedan lightly modded, and a 1999 miata built for SCCA CSP autocross. I'm strongly considering getting into the s2000 world because outside of the autocross miatas are rather under powered for track applications. If I were to go turbo, or super charged, or LS1 swap I would disrupt the 50/50 weight ration and take the edge off of the handling prowess that makes it so appealing.
I look forward to participating in this board, maybe finding my future car in the classifieds. I do have a few quick questions though.
I'll get right down to it, I'd be selling the miata for what I can get for it to cover the s2000, but my primary concern is head room. I'm a tall sob, tipping the measuring stick at 6'2" give or take a little. In the miata, I can't fit in the car with him helmet on. I hit the ceiling. Does the s2000 have more head room than the miata? I know racing seats and lower rails can help a lot, but in the miata I need a solid 4-6 inches to get comfortable clearance.
Thanks much, and hope to see you all on the road sometime.

I can't answer your 'head room' question but use the search feature on s2ki and type 'I'm tall'....there are a lot of threads by tall drivers, I usually skip those threads...but I recollect that there are things to do to accomodate your height, you mentioned two of them.
Welcome.
