Default New to site, no S yet!

I've just started my second tour in Iraq deployed as a helicopter mechanic for the Army. I came here knowing that I'd have lots of time to think about what car would suit my needs and wants when I get back next year. And already, I've decided on an AP2 S2000. I think I came to the right place for information gathering, I've been lurking around the site for a few days and it seems like there is a wealth of knowledge to be had. I can't wait to learn more about these cars!

I'd like to use the one I buy as a daily driver that doubles as a weekend auto-x car. First mods on my mind are stainless brake lines, a set of race pads and a suitable wheel and tire package.

Am I headed in the right direction?

Your in the right place. I suggest doing a couple of auto x's or a few track days with the car bone stock so you can get a feel for things. Then decide what you need to change based upon your style and liking.

Welcome

And another common first mod is a stiff front sway bar

Keeping it stock for the first few events sounds like a good idea, thanks for the suggestion!
