Default New socal owner

Hi,

New owner here. Just purchased a 2004 Berlina Black S2000 with 105k miles, mostly stock. Car has a drop in K&N filter, comptech springs, and some small assorted other mods. I've had my eye on a s2000 for sometime and finally decided to pull the trigger. The car I bought is primarily for my daily commute and the track. The car had some minor issues when I purchased it and have been sorting through those a bit. But it's been a fun process getting to know the car a bit better. The info on this forum has been very helpful so far. I'm starting to rack up some parts to make the car more suitable for the track. I'm enjoying everything so far.

What were the "minor issues"?

Thanks, actually looked at the link recently. Had all of my fluids replaced a few days after I bought the car. Again great info here.

Minor issues were: crack in the intake hose, I replaced it with a silicone intake arm from Ballade Sports. Oil drain plug threading was stripped and so it was leaking a little oil, needed a new oil pan, but gave me the chance to add in a baffle plate to the new pan. The small light fuse kept blowing out every time I turned on the headlights. Turns out the headlight wiring harness wasn't in very good shape and kept causing shorts in the system. Last small remaining issue is one of the front shocks isn't mounted correctly, so the brake line looks a little crazy. Haven't addressed this one yet, but will soon when I install the new coilovers I picked up. It's been fun, going to keep the progress going.

I went with the Ballade Sports bolt in pan. Since they were doing the service on the car when we ran into the drain plug issue, it was just an easy pairing. Not sure if there is a review to be written, since I have no idea whether or not it's working and I haven't been out to the track yet.
