New UK Owner... Thanks to Forum!
Hi everybody.
New owner here. After years of wanting one, finally purchased an 01 red/black s2k. And it was mainly the enthusiasm of the posters on this forum that persuaded me to part with my cash.
I have to thank all the posters on the forum for guiding me on a couple of niggles about the car that I have now sorted.
The car is in original condition, and apart from already having replaced the casette player (!?) with a new Pioneer unit and the stock speakers with some Infinity Kappa's, that's the way it will stay... maybe.
Thanks for the bits about fixing the broken roof catches, very handy. And the guide to accessing the radio.
When I got the car, it seemed very difficult to drive. I have driven all sorts of vehicles, but had never driven one that 'kangaroo hopped' so badly. Again, looking through the forum, it mentioned that there should be 2-4mm movement in the throttle cable. When I looked at mine, there was literally 6 inches of movement. Fixed that, and the car is just as good as you all said it would be.
So ta to you all, and I am looking forward to contributing to topics when I can.
Regards
