Newbie
I'm new to discussion boards/forums. I have owned a 2000 S2K since 2005, with a current mileage at 115K. It's red with black interior and in great condition. This is now my second car and is currently parked in the garage. I'm trying to decide my options of selling immediately or keeping it until it's a classic. I really don't feel comfortable letting go of her right now, but I'm open to suggestions. I'm even open to ideas of actually learning to use this as a project car. However, I'm a female and I don't really have any experience with mechanics. I'm looking into maybe taking her to some race tracks to get a full advantage and experience of the drive before I would sell her. I'm open minded and would love some honest advice... And, yes, I'm a novice and not too familiar with the mechanics of the car or some of the terminology. All I know is I love driving this car, but I purchased a Mercedes CLS 550 also because I need more space. That's why she's parked at the moment. Thanks for any kind words and ideas.
Welcome. I am some what new here, but not to car Forums. I'd say keep her since you just got the Benz. Take her to one track event and you will def not wanna NOT wanna sell. If you do sell, I'd bet you'll miss her with-in the first day. haha
s far as working on the car, there is plenty of threads here that will help you out, or I'm sure you can find someone to help. A female driving a S2000 is a beautiful thing!

Thanks! I feel I get that response when I drive her around. I guess it's rare for a girl to drive this car. I bought her without knowing how to drive stick! Once I caught on, she became my cherry pie (and my license plate reflected that). I've never been aware of these tracks until recent. I'm conflicted because I'm told to sell for more cash, but yet I'm told to wait. Personally, I just want to ride this beauty as a toy. But, if it came down to money issues and not a proper way to keep her garaged, I may have to sell. : (
I guess this may be the wrong forum for me to find advice on selling, since everyone is an enthusiast. I'm going to take my car to the race track and experience something different than before. I drive fast and love the control I have with this car. I've actually driven her to the highest at 140 mph. If I do eventually decide to sell in Dallas, TX, does anyone have advice for me?
Please check the race section of the forum or check online on reputable sites like tire-rack on prepping your car for the track if you do decide on that route. You will have a better experience & not having to worry about wrecking it or end up with serious mechanical problem.
Another way for a good driving experience is to look for your local autocross events (where2race.com), much safer and controlled environments to have fun & learn the car. Run time is shorter and speed is less so much less demanding on prepping the car for performance & safety. Forgive me for being insulting, was the 140mph at a race track?
If you really want to sell it, I think there is a thread of what is this car's worth here for you to get some idea to start. You might regret it tho'.
