hahaha you can find anything on youtube, dont believe everything you see, I run on 350z's on the highway all the time, they are def. not faster than the s2k. the high end version is comparible. If you have 20k (ballpark $40k US) to spend you will have way over 340 hp with a turbo, at least 400 hp, which is rediculous in a car as light as the s2000. If you want more, I regularly go on a back road runs with 350z's and leave them behind on the backroads. If you're in it for the pure driving pleasure and performance, than the s2000 is the champ, without question. And while I must admit, you're Z looks bad ass, the s2000 is an incredibly beautiful design, fantastic lines!

Great job on the Z, now join us

P.S. You'll never find a better forum

I like your Z very much. Tastefully done!
Yeah, I agree with madkimchi saying you should wait for another year.

Well, for me, I bought mine this January and I already knew that the S is gonna get discontinued in about a year or so.
But I never cared.
I loved the S so much

Go test drive one.
Then you'll know whether you should buy one or wait for next year.

I currently own both. I'm selling the '06 350Z Grand Touring since I enjoy driving the S2000 more and it'll save some cash to get a house. As far as power.. stock for stock, the 350Z is definitely a faster car. Not by much, but it's faster off the line and from a roll. There's just too much extra mid-range torque that easily makes up the weight difference, and the redline isn't extactly low at just over 7000rpm.

Like others have said.. go test drive an S2000 and make your own conclusions. I found the S was fast enough for my current needs but is simply more fun to drive. I love turbo'd cars (still have my '95 Eclipse GSX), and the VTEC at 6000rpm fills that need for me. An extra 25% gas mileage also helps.. Perhaps in the future I'll look toward the lovefab kit, or consider something along the lines of a Toyota FT-HS.

Agreed, with what mods you've put into the 350z, and esp. seeing as how that Veilside kit is beyond all get out expensive! My friend Etien sold his AP1 Spa S2k for a G35 a couple months ago...reasons for more economical purposes such as room.

I had a brand new 05 350z 35th Anniversary Model for about 8 months. Two clutches later I sold her and bought a Used 03 S2k. I've had it for a little over a year and couldn't be happier about the switch.

Nice car man

Well ... I think the 2 cars are quite different. This has been one of the most beaten to death topics here, and it's difficult to say which is better imo. I mean, I would never really get a Z myself, but I still think it's a nice car. Just not my cup of tea ... Likewise, some would never want to own an S2000 as well ...
