Default A note to prospective owners out there

Hi folks,

I received this note from a brand new owner, and I really thought I should post this so people could get a proper dose of perspective on S2000 ownership. I think new folks to our s2ki.com site can get frightened by what they see here.

Though I don't normally post private messages publicly, this one bears repeating here (IMO). I've omitted the owner's name so as not to upset anyone.

I just bought a 00, S2000 roadster with 7800 miles.

This is the problem with any car-specific website. You'll hear from people about problems they are having. Sometimes you'll start imagining you have the same problems. But if you never even checked the website, you'd be blisfully unaware of any problems.

My previous car was a Mazda3. Go to Mazda3forums.com and you'll read all sorts of posts about Mazda3 problems. But there are tons of these cars on the road and I never had any problems with mine.

Just look what was written here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2517425

"I have to admit, I stay away from Miata.net pretty often because when I DO go on there my car never feels right afterwards. I read all the tiny little problems and start imagining that I have them as well. Or I read about a million different ways to blow a lot of money and have a minimal outcome.
With my Jetta I almost never went into the mkIV forum, and with the 911 I *rarely* go to pelicanparts or rennlist.com"

Don't worry about it and enjoy the car!

My Jetta never felt right after I read something on the Vortex. Oh wait. It never felt right anyway. It's a VW!

Congrats on your purchase of the S2000! Rest assured you'll enjoy the car. Why? It's a Honda.
