It only took me 10 years but I'm finally here!
Long time member, but mainly a major lurker as I didn't own one so I never had much to add to a conversation. I've drooled over the thought of owning my own s2000 long before I started driving. I honestly felt like I'd never see the day.
But now all I have to do is walk out front and see my beauty sitting out front! I am meeting with a local this weekend to buy an outdoor car cover for her until I can arrange a garage.
I purchased a 2004 s2000 almost 3 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. The smile hasn't left my face for a second.
She's a Sebring silver with black and red interior with a little bit over 100k on the clock but you wouldn't know it from seeing her. The first few days we did a massive detailing and buffed and waxed the paint nicely as well as cleaned up the headlights as they desperately needed it.
I have a massive laundry list of to-dos but to start it off I've ordered:
Modifry glovebox organizer, key hole covers, led map and tag lights. As well as a s2ki plate frame of course
In the next coming weeks I am doing the uk exhaust mod, installing swift spec r springs, adding spacers to the ap2v1 rims and plastidipping the lower portion of my rear bumper much like s4play did. At the same time we are flushing and refilling all fluids while its on the rack. She also already came with a k&n fipk so that's already perfectly taken care of. Maybe a heat shield one day.
Future mods include, kodokan seat locks as soon as I can get them (worth the wait), upgrade leather boot and upgrade arm rest. The s came with a shift knob that looks similar to the voodoo knob but that will be changed eventually to a moddiction texture black anvil.
I am in the market for an oem ap2 front lip but of course I can't find a new Sebring silver from anywhere.
One thing I wanted to ask is has anyone ever painted the sliding door in the console and the silver piece by the hazards? I'd like to paint them as well as the radio door black similar to the my06 consoles.
I never intended for this to be so long winded but I am happy to finally be a part of the family and can't wait for what's to come.
