Thumbs up Order the Hardtop within my Lease?

Guys now that the $299 lease deal is back I'm thinking that's the way for me to get my 06 S2k.

My question for you all is...Should I order the Hardtop at the dealership and add the cost into my lease?
I wonder what it does to the cost and if the depreatation is the same.

What do all you lease guys think?

no way, buy the top yourself and sell it at the end of the lease... Hardtops hold their value incredibly well and you should be able to recover most of the costs when you sell.

If you lease it with the top, you are going to be paying for a substatial portion of the tops value, and in the end have to give it away...

newspeed is definitely right on this one. Hard tops hold their value very well.

If you want to save money, the best bet is to find a used hard top in your area, then sell it back out when your lease is over. You may end up losing next to nothing if you get a used one.

I highly recommend that you find one that's near by your area, because shipping that behemoth will cost you an arm and a leg, not to mention the risk of breaking something in the process ... buying one in summer is nice though, because they are of lower demand during summer when people don't really need the top. The demand tends to go back up when winter comes and when people would like that extra insulation.

thanks for the comments guys.

Wouldn't the hard top just be depreciated at the same rate for the car durring the lease. So I would only be paying for 30 something%.

I'm looking at a GPW car so it may be hard to find a used on in that color, maybe I'd order a Black hardtop...still dont know.

i would get the one that matches your car personally. I would definatly not do it within the lease though. Thats just my $.02.
