Fuse #14 under the dash is for the DTR lights only. I tested the highbeems and everything is working just fine.
Thanks! I'm still on the fence about them. I assume after you pull the fuse, the indicator in the instrument panel also goes out?

Good Question! I will check it out tomorrow and report back. I pulled it today and I only tested that everything still came on headlight wise high and low.

OK I could not wait until tomorrow so I went out and fired it up.

Ya had to go and ruin it for me...

The good news...
The indicator did stay off.

The bad news...
There is now a DTR indicator that it lit up. I looked it up in the book and its detecting a problem with the running light circuit. Its not an annoying light, i'ts only the letters DTR. I think I will leave the fuse out for now until someone comes up with a better solution.

Our Volvo has a little screw pin that can be set to enable / disable the DRL feature. I'll assume you looked carefully around the light switch in the new S for some sort of disable feature. I'll also assume you scoured the owner's manual for some possible way to disable this, rather than pulling the fuse.

Best bet is probably to start a thread over in Under The Hood to see if anyone has done this.

yeah, its funny that you said that about the Volvo. My father in-law also a S2K owner (04) have a Volvo and we were talking about that last night. I will check the book again but I dont see a disable switch.

I think you may be confused, Boosted. DRL wasn't part of the S2000 product in the US market until the new MY06 model was introduced. So, I'd have to say that your dealer didn't do anything to your MY04 -- it came from the factory without DRL.

For MY06, DRL is part of the factory product (not an option, I think, the car comes that way). "WTFWASTHAT?" is talking about his MY06 car, which does come with DRL.
