Congrats man. Last week I made a trip up to the Detroit area to pick up my 2001, basically identical to yours but with red interior.

Enjoy the free laugh on me. I'm new to this car completely. Never been in S2000 until yesterday. Thought the engine start button was just a 2nd option to start the car. Figured they would keep the traditional full key turn method to start as well.

Pics posted up on first post.

Willing to sell the sound system if anyone is interested. As well as the hatch. Will make a sale thread for that later.

No worries , we all have to start somewhere. Did you find the secret compartment yet? If/when you do let us know if you found any goodies inside.

If your talking about the "center", then no. Empty. Examined the interior a bit when I got it. Disappointed in the 1 cup holder.

nope. I'll have a look later. That little storage with the lock can't be the only place to store stuff.

edit// compartment is empty.

I wish this was it. It'd be a good spot.

Took me a minute.

Nice buy man! What are your plans for it? Does the AP1 need anything?

Welcome to S2ki and Congrats on a great purchase.

For a hard top the Marketplace and Classified sub forums are a good place to start and for any other parts you're looking for. But be warn, the OEM hard top is very very expensive, because they stop making them and they usually go for 3K+. But plenty of after market HT you can find that are way cheaper and there is also an OEM looking HT available out there.

Thanks for being a good sport and welcome aboard! Hope you won't let a few funny comments scare you away. That's a really clean AP1 you got there. Looks like it already has an aftermarket alarm too (judging by the key fob). It might be just the angle of the pic but the rear end looks like it's sitting a little high so you might check it for spring spacers.
