Default Picked up my Laguna

you know that feeling...like your in over your head...thats the feeling
of my drive home in my new 06 s2k...

last time i felt so scared was when i drove my first stick shift.

first off, clutch engagement is so high, i hope my clutch holds up till
i get use to the timing... its hard to get use to an on/off style clutch,
feeling like it will lunge forward violently if i let off too quick, like my
old crx....

and then lastly....so embarrasing...trying to get into reverse.
im stuck in my driveway....for like 10 mins trying to figure it out,
the owners manual was no help, and in my panic i overlooked the
quick start guide..

then a neighbor pulls up behind me waiting for me to park, i shamefully
go up to his car and go "dude, i cant get into reverse!!"
that guy was a life saver and figured it out... needless to say i felt sooo stupid

end of rant im going to bed

thanks man, you can't believe how overwhelmed i am coming
from an old 91 crx. so many buttons and gizmo's on the s2k...

on a side note: is it normal for the clutch engagement point to be soo high??

Calm down, winson!

Relax, grab a scotch, sit down with the manual and do a cover-to-cover read. All will be well. Remember, it's just a car. Oh, and by the way, it's your car!!!

Did your dealer do a run through of the car with you when you picked it up? Push down for reverse might not've been covered, but things like gas cover release, etc. should've been reviewed with you.

I don't recall the clutch being as you described when my car was new, though. That's a little odd. Let us know how it feels over time.

haha yea, i found secret compartment along with the front bumper plugs placed in the side door pockets

the dealer did do the run down, for the most part i was a bit beat to take it all in;
this is my first new car purchase, so i was in a complete daze at the finish line and yeah the owners manual is my new friend.

at my more confident moments...im in constant disbelief that im an s2000 owner.
cant wait till i get use to driving it around if anyone see's a laguna in l.a. driving below the speed limit...that be me

Congrats on the new car! I hope by the time I got around to it, there are still LBP left for me.

Don't feel bad. Consider this: I had trouble getting my VW into reverse after signing the papers, AT THE DEALER. LOL!

Smiles for winson!

I was never quite in disbelief about owning the car, but even four years later, I do double-takes in the parking lots.

Once you've driven it for a while, you'll have a hard time driving anything else. Good luck and congratulations!
